Luanda – The Angolan golf player António Sobrinho is one of the six best players who are participating in the international golf tournament dubbed “Angola Senior Classic 2022” that took off this Saturday in Mangais Resort, at Barra do Kwanza locality, in Luanda.
The professional Angolan player is above the champion of the previous edition, the South African Doug McGuigan, both with a surplus of minus one out of 72 possible hits, in an 18-hole match.
Another Angolan representative in the competition that occurs in an extension of more than ten kilometers, António Louro, ranks in the 30th position with a negative balance of seven more strokes.
The match is led by the South African player Keith Home debuting very well, while ending the 18 hole round with less five strokes in the regulatory number.
Another South African player, Callie Swart, ranks second, having completed the same course but with three less strokes.
The sports event started with individual and collective matches, in which António Sobrinho was part of a trio with two amateurs, namely Victor Marçal and José Cristino, while António Louro was with Fernando Ferreira and Francisco Chagas.
The international golf tournament continues on Sunday and is set to end on Monday, which is the day only reserved for professional players.
