Luanda - The Luanda Provincial Swimming Association (APNL) team will participate in the National Championship, open to several countries in Region V, which will take place from the 20th to the 23rd of this month, in Cape Town, South Africa.
The level-III event, to be held in a 50-meter pool, has an international standard and, due to its competitive level, includes athletes with minimum time-score established by the organizers.
According to a press release to which ANGOP accessed on Tuesday (March 11), in the country's capital, this is the team's first attendance in the event.
The team is made up of swimmers integrated in the APNL High Performance Program, with the aim of improving individual performances.
In addition to the Angolan competitors, representatives from Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia are also in the competition.
The Angola delegation is headed by Suzeth Santos and has Graça Andrade as the coach.
Called up swimmers: Alice Body, Leonardo Comotti, Davi Dode, Carolina Guimarães, Carlos Fernandes, Savannah Kempson, Silverio Manuel, Wendy Morais, Isis Palha and Maria Parimbali.
Rhanya Santo, Neizla Santos, Guilherme Sousa, Chelsea Vunge, Aleksandra Zhukov and Oleksander Zhukov are also part of the list.
