Luanda - Angola’s senior women national football team lost 3-0 to South Africa in the first round COSAFA Cup (Group A) match on Wednesday, underway in Port Elizabeth ( South Africa).
The athletes Maseko at 21st minute, Shamase (35') and Sam (89'), scored for the winning team.
With this result, the Angolans occupy the third position without scoring, while the South Africans add 3 points, in second position.
This is the second game between these teams. In October 2021, they played a goalless draw.
Angola will meet Mozambique again on September 3, in second around match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, while the hosts will face Mauritius in the same venue.
Mozambique are in the first position of group A with three points, after beating Wednesday Mauritius 2-0.
Mauritius occupy the last position without points.
Tanzania are the title holders, won during in 2021 in South Africa.
