Luanda - The Team of the Luanda Provincial Swimming Association (APNL) will be competing, starting Thursday (20), in Cape Town, South Africa, in the local National Championship, open to countries from Region V.
To this end, the provincial team arrived on the event stage on Wednesday (19), where the objective is to provide greater competitive experience at the highest level, as well as promote the improvement of the athletes' personal records.
The Luanda delegation attends the event with 16 swimmers, namely Alice Body, Leonardo Comotti, Davi Dode, Carolina Guimarães, Carlos Fernandes, Savannah Kempson, Silvério Manuel, Wendy Morais, Isis Palha, Maria Parimbali, Rhanya Santo, Neizla Santos, Guilherme Sousa, Chelsea Vunge, Aleksandra Zhukov and Oleksander Zhuko, led by 1.º de Agosto's coach Graça Andrade.
The event, which ends on Sunday (23), will be held in a 50-meter pool.
This is the Provincial Association's third attempt in international competitions, after participating in Namibia and South Africa in 2024.
In addition to representatives from Angola and the host country, the open national championship involves swimmers from Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia.
