Luanda - The National adapted athletics team won eleven medals at the International Meeting, which ended Sunday in the Kingdom of Morocco, a qualifying event for the France Paralympic Games “Paris'2024”.
Angola won four gold medals, through Juliana Moko, in the women's 400m of the T11 class (total visual impairment), with a time of 1.03.73 minutes and André Oliveira, in the 200m of the T12 class (partial visual impairment), with a time of 24.42 second, as well as through Manuel Jaime of the T46 class (motor disability), who was the great reference for being unbeaten in the 400m with a time of 52.05 second and in 800m of the with a time of 2.01.44 minutes.
The sprinter Juliana Moko also won the double silver medal after the race in 100m with a time of 13.19 second and the 200m race with a time of 26.91 second.
Silver medal was also obtained by the athletes Adelino Cambinda, in the 100m, T12 class, with a time of 12.02 and in the 200m, with a time of 24.44. Beatriz Catiavala placed second in the 400m T11, with a time of 1.04.31.
The sprinter Regina Dumbo won bronze medal in the 100m, T11 class with a time of 13.20 second and in the 200m with the time of 27.13.
This athlete from Huambo Province was disqualified in the 400m race, a speciality in which she is stronger, for a false start.
The national team, led by coach José Manuel, returned to the country on Monday.
