Dundo - The game to adjust the calendar for the 14th round of the First Division National Football Championship (Girabola 2024/25), between Petro de Luanda and Sagrada Esperança, initially scheduled for Tuesday, 11th, is rescheduled for Wednesday, 12th.
The rescheduling of the game, according to the head of Sagrada Esperança's Communication and Marketing office, Amado Jorge, was at the request of Petro de Luanda, who intends to recover the team, after spending two days in Lunda-Sul, where they faced and defeated the Desportivo da Lunda Sul, by 2-1, in the final match part of the 11th round.
Petro de Luanda was forced to stay in Saurimo, after the suspension of the match against the local team on Saturday, at half-time, due to the heavy rains that fell at the time and even caused flooding in the Mangueiras stadium.
The second part of the challenge took place on Sunday, at 10 am, and Petro de Luanda only could travel in the afternoon, which did not allow them to do recovery training, as scheduled in their calendar.
According to Amado Jorge, with the rescheduling of the game, the Sagrada Esperança will travel to Luanda on Tuesday and not on Monday as planned.
Petro de Luanda is the leader of Girabola2024/25, with 36 points, while Sagrada Esperança, with 18 points, occupies 8th place. JVL/QB/PA/MRA/DOJ
