Luanda - The team of Lunda Norte's Sagrada Esperança won Sunday the Angolan Super Cup in football after beating Petro de Luanda by 4-3, in penalty shootout, following a draw with zero balls in the regulation time.
The match, played at the Ombaka National Stadium in Benguela, required a second round of penalty kicks to find the winner.
Cachi sealed an unprecedented victory for the Lundas, taking the last penalty.
This is the third victory for the diamond club over the oil team in less than a year, following the 1-0 win in the first and second rounds of the Girabola2020/21.
Sagrada Esperança are the national champions, while Petro de Luanda are the winners of the Angola Cup.
