Luanda – All sports venues in Angola are as from Friday allowed to have the presence of public at around 25 percent of their capacity, the updated Decree on the State of Calamity, said on Wednesday.
According to the Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, the maintenance of strict compliance with biosecurity measures remains mandatory, such as the social distancing and the correct use of masks.
The previous decree had already authorized the return of federated sports activities with ten percent of spectators, at the time except in the province of Luanda.
In the meantime, Adão de Almeida said the province of Luanda remains under sanitary cordon as well as the prohibition to entry into the country of non-resident foreign citizens, from or with passage through Brazil and India.
The Decree on the State of Calamity comes into force on Friday (09), one day before the classic between the most crowned teams in Angola, Petro de Luanda and 1º de Agosto, that seek to go through to the semi-finals of the Angola Football Cup.
