Luanda - A delegation of Angola’s Petro de Luanda, led by the club’s chairman, Tomás Faria, travelled Wednesday to Spain with the aim of working with different European sports institutions.
At the invitation of the First Division of the Spanish Professional Football League (LaLiga) and Villarreal FC, the Angolan club continue the strategic consultancy project started in November 2021.
Tomás Faria is expected to meet with president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, and his counterpart at Villarreal FC, Fernando Roig.
According to a publication on the official Petro de Luanda facebook page, Faria will take part in the centenary celebrations of the Madrid club.
The note adds that, in addition to meetings with various departments of the LaLiga and Villareal, a visit will be made to the facilities of the ESC Madrid high performance centre, the result of a partnership between LaLiga and the NBA, as well as at the Villarreal Academy.
A meeting is also scheduled with local companies, with Villarreal's sponsor (Pamesa) and with other business agents from Spain.
Tomas Faria will visit the recent renovations made to the La Cerâmica stadium and all its support infrastructures and watch the 25th round of the LaLiga match between Villarreal FC and Real Bétis.
