Luanda – Angola President, João Lourenço, Tuesday encouraged the Angolan driver Rui Andrade to pursue his career as car racing driver with full determination and spirit of victory.
In a message posted on his Twitter account, President João Lourenço said that Rui Andrade is the first Angolan to stand out in this sport, encouraging him "to move forward, with all determination and spirit of victory.
Rui Andrade won on Sunday, the Four Hours of Monza, an event that counts for the Endurance World Championship of the International Automobile Federation, in the LMP2 category.
The 21-year-old driver was sixth in the general standings.
The pilot, who has been racing since 2018, has gone through the Spanish Formula 4, raced in Portugal in Formula Ford, Formula Renault Eurocup and Euroformula Open and the Formula 4 in the United Arab Emirates, where he finished fifth in the competition.
