Luanda - The South Sudanese power forward Ater Majok is the new acquisition of the Petro de Luanda men's basketball senior team for the African clubs league, which takes place next month.
The 35 year old player, 2.11 cm tall, and 106kg, seems to be the latest reinforcement of the Angolan champions in the biggest African clubs competition.
In the last tournament, Majok represented the US Monastir team of Tunisia and in 2011 was one of the selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Draft.
Petro de Luanda will play the regular phase of the competition from April 26 to May 6 in Cairo city, Egypt, where the top four teams will qualify for the final phase in Rwanda in June.
This is the third edition of the competition, with Petro having been third in 2021, second in 2022, and now vying for the 2023 continental trophy.
