Luanda - Angola driver Rui Andrade joins TF Sport, where he will make his debut Saturday, in the 1812 km race of the 'International Association of Recognized Automobile (FIA) World Championship, in Qatar, season 2024.
In this class, the 2023 FIAWEC LMP2 World Champion will drive a Corvette Z06 GT3.R, different from the one he used in LMP2.
For the driver, this edition represents the beginning of a new era in the history of the FIA WEC, in an LMGT 3 competition.
The event will feature 18 participants from nine manufacturers, including Corvette, BMW, Aston Martin Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lexus, McLaren, Porsche and Ford.
Andrade marked his sports car debut in 2021 in LMP2 and has since participated in all major endurance racing series, including the Asian and European Le Mans Series, the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup and the FIA WEC.
In its history, in 2021 it won the ELMS LMP2 Pro-Am title and the Petit Le Mans. In 2022, he reached the podium at Le Mans.
