Luanda - Petro took the lead in the national senior men's basketball championship on Friday after beating Sporting de Luanda 101-85 in the 9th round of the competition.
With the win, the defending champions now lead the competition with 18 points, while Sporting de Luanda is in the second position with 16 points. Petro's Abou-bakar Gako was the game's top scorer with 24 points.
In the other games, Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) beat Clube Desportivo Kwanza 104-85, Petro B beat Akira Academy 111-75 and Sporting de Luanda B beat Vila Clotilde 89-85. GVA /AMP
