Luanda - Petro de Luanda qualified for the Angolan Cup final in men's senior basketball on Tuesday, in the country's capital, after beating 1º de Agosto by 85-79, in a game played at the Cidadela Pavilion.
As a result of a good game in the first and second quarter, 1º de Agosto won 37-36 by halftime.
After the third, fourth and last period played with much dispute, the scoreboard was 71-72, in favour of 1º de Agosto when there were four minutes left in the game and was at that point that Petro de Luanda changed the game's rhythm and ended up winning 95-79, thus qualifying for the final just like Interclube, who qualified by defeating ASA.
The final in which Petro de Luanda will face Interclube is to take place Friday (24), at 6pm, in the same venue, in a repeat of the previous edition which was won by Petro.
