Luanda - Petro de Luanda soccer team isolated itself at the top of the National Football Championship (Girabola2023/24), with 57 points, by beating, Saturday, in the country's capital, Kabuscorp do Palanca, by 3-2, in a game from matchday 27, played at “11 de Novembro” stadium in Luanda.
The goals of the 'oil' team were scored by Guedes (10'), Kinito (19') and Gilberto (55'), while Castro (66') and Dasfaa (68') scored for the 'palanquina' formation.
The 'tricolor' team has four more points than the second-placed team, Sagrada Esperança (53pts), while Kabuscorp is fourth, with 42.
In the first minute, Gilberto, after receiving a pass from midfield, tried to surprise but the low and weak shot went to the figure of goalkeeper Landú.
Then it was Jaredi's turn, who even penetrated the opposite area, however, face to face with Landú, he shot wide.
In the 10th minute, Petro took the lead (1-0), following a move in which Jaredi, from the right wing, crosses for Guedes' shot, with no chance for Landú.
In the 19th minute, Kinito, after a cross from Gilberto, headed the ball home for the second goal (2-0).
The first sign of danger for the Palanca team came only in the 27th minute, in a play in which Dasfaa got rid of two defenders, with the shot passing very close to Hugo Marques' goal, keeping the 2-0 until halftime.
In the resumption, Kabuscorp continued to be permissive defensively and in a counterattack, followed by an exchange of ball, Jaredi served Gilberto, who in front of the goal, scored the third goal for Petro (3-0).
Kabuscorp reacted in the 66th minute with the newly entered Castro being brought down in the opponent's area. Referee Aílton Carmelino awarded a penalty.
Called to take the penalty, the same Castro reduced the deficit to 1-3.
Two minutes later, Dasfaa, on a counterattack, scored the second goal for the 'Palaquina' team (2-3), a result with which the match ended. JAD/VAB/MC/DOJ
