Luanda - Judo, Karate and Sailing have been ruled out of the Petro de Luanda Club, the decision was presented on Saturday to the club’s members during the Annual General Meeting.
The vice-president of the General Assembly, Jaime Freitas, said the three sport categories have less impact on the public, despite the achievements.
Mr. Freitas explained that the main reason for the reduction of such sport categories is due to the fall of revenues from non-founding members, around 79%, and from founding members (Sonangol) without specifying the drop percentage in the case of the latter.
Founded on January 14, 1980, the club have, in addition to core sports, athletics, gymnastics, roller field hockey and volleyball.
