Bouaké – Angolan Athlete Núrio Fortuna will miss next game, at AFCON'2023, due to injury, according to a communication from the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), made public this Thursday.
The Angolan number 2 jersey, 28 years old, suffered a level two muscle tear, contracted in the game against Mauritania (3-2), in the second round of the AFCON'2023 group stage.
The defender, who no longer participated in Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Burkina Faso, left the training camp on Thursday morning and returned to his club, Gent of Belgium, at a time when Angola left Yamoussoukro back for Bouaké.
To remind that the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) has also announced that Petro de Luanda's versatile defender, Inácio Miguel, joined the National Team this Thursday to fill the vacancy left by right-back Loide Augusto, who was released for discipline reasons.
According to the FAF, the player must undergo his first training session today, at the École Polytecnique Les Oscars De Bouké.
In the first phase, Angola finished at the top of group D, with seven points, meaning they will face Namibia on Saturday, in the round of 16, starting at 5pm, at the Peace Stadium in Bouaké. MC/CF/jmc
