Luanda - More than 400 athletes will compete in the National Gymnastics Championships for men and women in the junior and senior categories from January 9 to 13 at the Cidadela Pavilion in Luanda.
Initially scheduled for Wednesday, the competition has been postponed to next Thursday for logistical and administrative reasons, as several teams have confirmed their arrival in the country's capital on Tuesday.
Speaking to ANGOP, the vice-president of the Angolan Gymnastics Federation (FAG), João Gabriel, explained that the competition will include events in artistic gymnastics (individual), rhythmic gymnastics (individual and team), aerobics (individual, mixed pairs and trios) and tumbling (individual).
Teams from Luanda, Benguela, Huíla, Huambo, Lunda Sul, Cabinda and Namibe will participate.
The following clubs have registered Petro de Luanda, XLAC do Kilamba Kiaxi, Bulls Big, Nacional de Benguela, Clube Transcambanda, Escola Desportiva da Graça/Piaget, Núcleo da Chibia and Sporting do Lubango, among many others.
