Luanda - The Ministry of Youth and Sports has on Monday said the second place achieved by Angola national futsal team in the African Championship and consequent qualification for the 2024 World Cup is an achievement that makes Angolans proud and pledges greater support.
In a statement, the Minister Rui Falcão said that despite the defeat in the final against hosts Morocco, 1-5, the classification achieved in the competition held in Rabat is a significant milestone in the national sporting journey, ANGOP has learnt.
It adds that the country's determination, team spirit and exceptional skills are truly inspiring, which led to the country's good performance in the African competition.
In the statement the minister praised the talent and tireless effort of the athletes, which not only made fans of the sport in Angola proud, but demonstrated the unlimited potential of the sport in the country.
