Luanda - The Minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa, praised on Friday, in Luanda, the way in which 1º de Agosto and Petro teams performed in the “Francisco de Almeida Super Cup” where the players showed the quality of their handball made in the country.
Speaking to the press, at Cidadela pavilion, the official stated that it was a technically good game, the youngest girls were able to perform at the same level as the most experienced ones.
“Today, the game was more emotional compared to last season, because the two teams are very evenly matched, due to what the new generation has demonstrated on the field,” she said.
The former captain of the National Team (Minister Palmira Barbosa) said that both teams did not disappoint the fans, who were present in large numbers at the Cidadela pavilion, where Petro beat 1º de Agosto, 26-24.
With today's achievement, Petro brings the aforementioned competition to fourteen trophies, which aims to honor the first president of the Angolan Handball Federation (FAAND), as well as the opening of the national sports season. WR/VAB/CF/DOJ
