Luanda - More than 100 players, representing 20 countries, will participate, starting this Wednesday, in Luanda, in the World Tournament of the International Tennis Federation (ITF J30), taking place until the 14th of this month.
Organized by the ITF and the Angolan Federation (FAT), the competition, in the junior category, in both genders, will be played on the fields of the Kikuxi Villas Club Academy, in Viana, where the Davis Cup Africa Group IV was recently played.
The competition will be held from July 2 to 14, in singles and doubles.
The J30 World Tennis Tournament is part of the ITF calendar, whose objective is to obtain points for the world ranking, which gives access to the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Circuit, and its women's version (WTA).
Athletes from Africa, Europe, Asia and America participate in the tournament, which has as highlights the Angolans Daniel Domingos, Dandara Roque, Miriam Tuluca, Joaquim Domingos, Emerson Pedro, Justino Rodrigues, Jolino Simão, António Tchivanda, Ítalo Tuluca, Salvador da Silva, among others.
The country hosted, for the first time, the ITF World Tennis J30 in 2023, won, in men, by Angolan Daniel Domingos and, in singles, by Moroccan Sofia Hadab. VAB/DOJ
