Luanda - Ana Lima heads list A and she was considered eligible for the elections in the Angolan Swimming Federation (FAN), which will take place on November 16, in the province of Luanda, with two competitors (list A and B) for the four-year period 2024-2028.
A statement from the FAN Electoral Commission, to which ANGOP had access on Thursday, stated that list A met the statutory requirements.
Regarding list B, led by Kimbo Kiambata, the document requested its completion by the 28th of this month, in the federation's disciplinary and jurisdictional bodies.
According to the process calendar, the start of the campaign is scheduled for the 31st of the current month and ends on the 14th of November.
The winner will replace Joaquim Santos, who in his mandate saw the integration of electronic timing in Angolan swimming and the application of modern blocks in the Alvalade pool, in addition to hosting an absolute African championship for the first time.
Angolan swimming is about to meet its fourth chairman, after António Monteiro (Bambino), Mário Fernandes and Joaquim Santos.
