Pretoria – Petro de Luanda coach José Neto identified his team's defensive sector as being the one that inspires the most work during the African Basketball League (BAL), which takes place in Pretoria (Africa southern).
Speaking to ANGOP on Sunday, after victory against Cape Town Tigers from South Africa, by 100-88, he stated that the defensive sector lacked consistency.
"We played good basketball today, but we still need to be more consistent, mainly in defense, because we still allowed a lot of easy points", he said, adding that, with work, the team has room for growth.
He said he takes responsibility for the mistakes that the team has been making in the two rounds of the event that have already been played.
In the first round, Petro lost to Fath Union Sport de Rabat, by 73 -82.
The Angolan representative in this 4th edition of the continental competition, in League format, will play on Tuesday against Dynamo of Burundi, at the end of the 1st phase. WR/MC/CF/DOJ
