Luanda - The Angolan delegation made up of athletes, sports directors and guests that competed in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games was honored, on Friday, by the Angolan Embassy to France, a statement from the embassy has said, ANGOP has learnt.
During her speech, Ambassador Guilhermina Prata highlighted the importance of the Olympic spirit, which all athletes embodied throughout the competition, underlining that although Angola did not win medals in this edition of the Paris Olympic Games, the athletes demonstrated dedication, persistence and extraordinary resilience.
This way of being in the competition, the ambassador said, responds to the challenge launched by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, during the teams’ departure in Luanda.
Angola competed in handball, judo, swimming, rowing and canoeing.
