Luanda - Angola assistant referee Jerson Emiliano has been selected for the men's football final between France and Spain at the Olympic Games taking place in Paris (France).
The match will be played on Friday at the Parc des Princes in the French city.
Jerson Emiliano made his debut in the event at the same stadium on July 24, in the match between Uzbekistan and Spain in Group C.
The 41-year-old Angolan, considered the best referee in southern Africa, belongs to the elite of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
This Angolan professional has refereed in more than 564 national and 358 international matches, including the Youth Olympic Games (China), the U-17 World Cup (Chile`2015) and the U-20 World Cup (South Korea).
He also took part in the World Cup in Russia (2018) and the World Cup in Qatar (2022).
He was also involved in African competitions, including the CAN U-17, U-23 and Honours, COSAFA Cup, CHAN and CAF club competitions. MC/DAN/AMP
