Luanda - Angola national football and Iranian play Tuesday a friendly match in Tehran, being the fourth encounter between the two countries in the history of football, nine years after the last friendly in 2014, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The second friendly took place on January 1,2011, with Iran winning (1-0)
The first match was played on June 21, 2006 in Leipzig, for the third round of group D of the World Cup in held in Germany ending in a 1-1 draw.
Angola’s goal was scored by Flávio Amado, in the 59th minute, following a cross from Zé Kalanga.
The equalizer came in the 75th minute through Bakhtiarizadeh, after scoring with a header following a corner kick.
Angola are preparing for the final phase of the African Nations Championship (CAN'2024) to be held in Côte d'Ivoire.
Angola finished 2nd with 9 points in group E of the CAN qualifying phase, along with Ghana (1st with 12 points), Central African Republic (7 points) and Madagascar (3 points).
