Luanda – For the fisrt time in history, Interclube won the Angola Cup in men's senior basketball, with a victory in the final over Petro de Luanda, 75-72.
The game, played at the Cidadela Stadium, in Luanda, reached half-time 41 points draw.
After competing in another edition of this second biggest competition in the sport in Angola, 1° de Agosto still leading the top rank, with 15 trophies won, followed by Petro de Luanda (14).
They are followed by Recreativo do Libolo, with five, ASA, with two, Dynamos and now Interclube with one.
Carlos Morais, from Petro de Luanda, was the top scorer with 15 points, followed by his colleague, the North American Markeith Cummings, with 14.
At Interclube, Helder Félix and Emanuel Sebastião were the best scorers, with 13 points each.
Cláudio Euba, assisted by António Bernardo and MBunga Pedro, composed made up the refereeing team.
