Dundo – The director of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports in the north-eastern Lunda-Norte Province, José Pinto, announced this Tuesday the construction, this year, of an Olympic-size swimming pool in this region, probably in Dundo City.
Speaking to the press, analysing the current state of sports in Lunda-Norte Province, José Pinto revealed that the project is to have financing from private companies.
He assured that the process in on the right track, adding that a delegation of specialists is expected in the province soon to assess the site where the infrastructure is to be built and also present the sketch/model of the project.
Without mentioning the financial amount that it will involve, José Pinto said that the project is part of the government’s plan of mass promotion of swimming sport in the region.
