Luanda - Petro de Luanda beat 4-1 Interclube in the 9th round of Angola's top division football championship (Girabola2023/24), played at Luanda’s 11 de Novembro Stadium.
Tiago Azulão (14' and 52'), Vanilson (25') and Toro (36') found the back of the net for Petro de Luanda, while Além scored the solo goal of the visitors in injury time (90+4).
With this win, the defending champions moved up to third place with 14 points, while Interclube remained in 13th with 6 six points.
In the other match, Sagrada Esperança beat Sporting de Cabinda 5-1, with goals scored by Cachi (19'), Celso (21' and 30'), Dabanda (37') and Vitoriano (72'), while Toti (52') scored for Sporting de Cabinda.
Sagrada Esperança are fourth with 13 points, while Sporting de Cabinda are 14th, with five points.
1º de Agosto conceded a 1-1 draw to Wiliete de Benguela, with the first now in ninth place with 10 points, while the latter are fifth with 12 points.
The championship is led by Kabuscorp do Palanca, with 21 points, with Recreativo do Libolo at the bottom of the table with just two.
