Luena - Bravos do Maquis lost 1-2 to defending champions Petro de Luanda at the Mundunduleno stadium, on Saturday, in the 30th and final match of the first division National Football Championship (Girabola2023-24).
With Petro de Luanda already crowned champions and Bravos do Maquis assured of staying in the championship, the two teams took to the field in a stadium that was almost full, with around 3,000 people present (maximum capacity is 4,200).

At the end of the game, Bravos do Maquis' head coach Mário Soares emphasised the quality of game shown by both teams.
“Now we are going to prepare for next Tuesday's match against Acádemica do Lobito”, he said.
In turn, Petro de Luanda assistant coach, Luís Garcia, said that they won due to the good mood of the players, who were able to interpret the coach's instructions, especially in the second half.
With this result, the Bravos do Maquis finished the competition with 37 points, occupying 9th place in the Girabola ranking, while Petro de Luanda, the four-time champions, finished with 67 points.
