Luanda – The Angolan striker Gelson Dala became the third best scorer in the Qatar Top League, with 15 goals, playing for Al-Wakra, fourth placed in the standing with 39 points.

With this result, the best scorer of Angola’s National Football Championship in 2016, with 23 goals, improves the seventh position obtained in his debut year (11 goals) with the jersey of the club from Santa Catarina (2021-22 season).

The striker, trained at the 1º de Agosto academy, achieved the figure in 20 games.

The player was seven goals behind the leader of the list, the Kenyan Michael Olunga (22), who played in 22 games for Al-Duhail, the champion club.

Dala has been influential in the National Team. However, he is not among those called up for the game on the 17th with CAR, in Cameroon, referring to the 5th round of group E, due to yellow cards.

Among other Angolans playing overseas, the striker Mbala Nzola stands out, seventh best scorer in the Italian A league, with 13 goals, half the production of the 1st place on the list, the Nigerian Victor Osimhen (26), to serving Napoli, defending champions.

Mabululu is another reference in the Egyptian championship, where he leads the scores board with 14 goals, with four days left to the end of the competition, ensuring a three-goal lead over second place and five over the third. JAD/MC/CF/jmc
