Luanda - National champions Petro de Luanda will be exempt from the first qualifying round of the African Champions League group stage, due to their participation in the continental Super League.
The decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) also includes the remaining teams on the continent, who will be involved in the Super League next September.
The eight teams will only enter the last round, which in case of winning they will immediately enter the group stage.
Here are the teams participating in the first edition:
Petro de Luanda (Angola), Al Ahly (Egipto), Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club (South Africa), Wydad de Casablanca (Morocco), Espérance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia), Simba Sports Club (Tanzania), Tout Puissant Mazembe (DRC) and Enyimba Football Club (Nigeria). FN/MRA/jmc
