Luanda – The Portuguese midfielder Alex Soares is the new reinforcement of Petro de Luanda´s football team for a season, according to the club´s source.
Alex Soares, 31, trained at Sport Lisboa e Benfica, who already played in the Portuguese clubs of Marítimo and Moreirense as well as Panserraikos and Volos, both from Greece.

The new acquisition of the national champions will complete the midfield section with Ito, Dos Santos, Carlinhos, Soares, Cabibi and Megue.
With the arrival of Alex, Petro de Luanda increases to six foreign players
With the arrival of Alex, the number of foreigners in Petro de Luanda increases to six, while others are the Portuguese Pedro Pinto and the Brazilians Tiago Azulão, Gleison, Soares and Welligton.
Alex Soares will take part in the pre-competitive stage, to take place from 4 to 18 January in Rio Maior Municipality of Santarém District in Portugal.
The current leaders of Girabola 2022/2023, Petro de Luanda, will also be vying for the Angola Cup and “fight” in the African Champions League groups.
