Luanda - Angola will host from July 15 to 19 in Luanda, the launch of the first edition of the seminar to help professionalize football clubs in Africa, an event organized by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
According to a statement from the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) that reached ANGOP Wednesday, the seminar will cover the latest trends in modern football and is to be conducted on an intensive basis from 9am to 5pm.
The topics will include training on issues related to financial management, sports strategy and grassroots academies, marketing and communications, leadership and negotiation, governance and legal matters, among others.
According to the FAF’s statement, the event to be conducted in other regions of the continent is to run until 2025, after which it will head to America.
Early in April, Angola received a visit from the FIFA Director for Africa, Gelson Fernandes, who in a courtesy meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão, underlined that the growth and professionalization of football in Angola involves more training for all entities, specially academies and clubs.
