Luanda - Twenty-eight trainers from African countries that are members of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will participate, starting this Tuesday, in Luanda, in a seminar for “Coach Training Leaders”, promoted by the International Federation of Associated Football (FIFA).
The training seminar, taking place until next Friday, in one of the capital city's hotels, aims to transmit knowledge about the role of the responsible for leading the training of coaches.
For four days, participants will address topics such as: "How Each Federation Deals with Coach Training", "The Tools that Make This Work Functional and Where They Can Improve", and "Improving Strategy Planning".
The chairman of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), Artur de Almeida, considered, at the opening of the seminar, the event important for football in Africa, but especially in Angola.
The federation bossl said that the body he leads did everything to ensure that the seminar could be held in the country. He added that, later this year, Angola will host training for category A coaches.
The official believes that this ends up being an evolution in the process of training and qualifying coaches in the country, thus raising the levels of football knowledge.
As for women's football, he stated that there are already some recently trained staff, in the area of field coaches and goalkeepers.
The perspective, according to the source, is to update the level of knowledge to other licenses (B), because the majority already have (C).
For his part, coach Lito Ribeiro, a participant in the seminar, said that they are gathering as much knowledge as possible for the development of football in the country.
He valued the provision of training so that Angolan coaches can compete in terms of knowledge in relation to other realities.
The other national coach, Luís García, also participating in the seminar, said that the exchange of experience will give the possibility of turning difficulties into opportunities for knowledge.
The country has two coaches in the trainer category, namely Zeca Amaral and Miller Gomes.
