Luanda - The Chairman of the Angolan Athletics Federation (FAA) Bernardo João on Monday in Luanda announced the participation of sprinter Marcos Santos in representation of the country at the Olympic Games of Paris2024, through the minimum requirements.
The FAA official announced this while speaking ahead of the International Day of Athletics.
He said that the athlete of Petro de Luanda is currently the 5th in the African ranking in the 200 meters free, and it is expected that he qualifies for Paris, since Angola has participated in the Olympic Games under universality.
The result and the Marcos Santos' mark was achieved in the African Championship of 18 and 20 years old category, played recently, in the city of Ndola, Zambia.
As for the event, for the activities involving children in all provinces of the country, from 8 to 14 years of age, the official recalled the fulfillment of the Athletic Kit and Mini Athletics programme.
