Luanda - A win over South Africa for the Sunday’s second and final qualifying round for the CHAN`2023 in Algeria depends largely on the spirit of confidence of the athletes, said Friday the coach of Angola’s national soccer team.
Pedro Gonçalves said the national team players are in good shape and they have the capacity to win the match even playing away from home.
"We are confident and even playing away from home we will not change the game philosophy," the head coach told a press conference.
The coach acknowledged that a tough task lies ahead, especially when it comes to a powerful opponent in the region.
In view of 0-2 lose in the first leg during a match played at Luanda’s 11 de Novembro Stadium, the coach vowed to do their best to reverse the qualifying competition.
The national team head to the stage of the match Friday, after the last training session held this morning at Luanda’s 11 de Novembro stadium.
