Elizandro and Isabel win table tennis nationals Championship

Luanda - Elizandro André and Isabel Albino won the 32nd edition of the National Table Tennis Championships, for both sexes, held from 18 to 21 December at the Centro de Alto Rendimento de Angola (CARA), in Luanda.

 

In men's, the champion achieved the gold by defeating, in the final, Hermenegildo Agnelo, 4-1 (sets), with the partials of 11/9/11/11/11/11 and 4/11/7/4/6 /.

With this triumph, Elizandro dethrones Hermenegildo and Edvane Neto comes third.

As for the female, Isabel Albino beat Ruth Tavares in the final 4-3, with 11/11/13/12/11/11/11 and 9/6/15/14/3/6/4. The player Kailane de Sousa filled the last place on the podium.

In addition to this, there were also competitions for men's juniors, men's and women's pairs, mixed and team competitions.

In juniors, the winner was Luís Mudil, followed by Kelson Luciano and Osvaldo Ndala.

In the classification by teams, leadership for Escorpião da Boa Fé de Viana (Luanda), seconded by Benfica do Lubango (Huíla) and Atlético do Namibe, in third.

Played in the system of all against all in one turn, the Scorpion team won all games and added 15 points. The decisive game was against Benfica do Lubango, with a 3-2 victory.

With a total of 50 participants, the competition was attended by the Escorpiões da Boa Fé de Viana, Benfica do Lubango, Atlético do Namibe, Desportivo da Educação do Huambo and Bravos do Maquis do Moxico teams and  some individuals.
