Luena - With 12 athletes, the 7th edition of the Provincial Chess Championship in Moxico kicks of this Saturday, in the city of Luena, to be played in the Swiss system, in seven rounds.
The competition, which runs from the 9th to the 24th of this month, aims to promote the practice of chess in the region, determine the absolute provincial champion of the sport, as well as select local representatives for the National Championships, according to the note.
The games will take place at the 27 de Março sports pavilion, with a game time of 2 hours (K.O).
Chess player Dickson Donaldo is the holder of the 6th edition of the provincial in 2023, beating Amilton de Sousa at the time, in the 7th and final round of the competition.
