Luanda - The creation of football teams in communities at national level was the focus of the meeting between the minister of Youth and Sports (MINJUD), Rui Falcão, and the Angolan Humanist Party (PHA), led by Bela Malaquias, on Thursday, in Luanda.
In the closed-door meeting, at the headquarters of the ministry, the possibility of cooperation for the implementation of actions with a high influence on children, in children's and youth football teams, created by the club of the aforementioned political party in the country's neighborhoods and communes was demonstrated.
According to the secretary of State for Sports, Teresa Ulundo, this is an important contribution from the party, given that the centers have an impact on the social integration of children and young people in society, which is a mission of the state.
She added that within the Sports Plan, the MINJUD guarantees support within this package, whose focus is the mass promotion and generalization of sports in communities, in the near future.
The official also stated that the governing body for national sports will start to help with the training of coaches, support with sports materials, monitoring their own development, as well as for the integration of children in tournaments or championships.
In turn, the leader of PHA, Bela Malaquias, explained that the initiative arose from the concern to prevent children from getting into bad paths and to help discover new talents in football, with a view to serving the various national teams.
The party leader highlighted that it was a project carried out by her party's club, which associates several teams, including in towns and villages.
