Mbanza Kongo - Clube Desportivo da Lunda-Sul beat São Salvador do Kongo 1-0 on Wednesday consolidating their lead in the national first division football championship (Girabola2023/2024).
Mussá scored the goal of the match which is part of the 19th round of Girabola.
Speaking in a post match press conference, São Salvador do Kongo head coach, Nfinda Moser said his team started the game unmotivated in the first half, which gave their opponents the advantage to score the only goal of the game.
"We tried to improve in the second half with the changes we made, but unfortunately luck was not on our side. We will keep working towards the next challenges", Moser said.
Desportivo da Lunda Sul coach Maurílio Silva, on his turn, said even with the pressure of the home team, his team did everything they could to add three points.
With this result, São Salvador do Kongo still have the same number of points (19), while Desportivo da Lunda-Sul have (41).
São Salvador do Kongo will travel to Cuanza Sul to face Recreativo do Libolo in the 20th round, while Desportivo da Lunda-Sul face Recreativo União de Malanje.
