Luanda - Mixed Martial Arts athlete Demarte Pena is to arrive in the city of Luanda Wednesday (16), to present the gold medal he won at "Warrior's 53" competition, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MINJUD).
The information was revealed on Monday, through a press release from the Angolan Federation of Mixed Martial Arts (FAMMA) to which Angop had access. It does not explain the day or time of the meeting with the minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão.
According to the document, during his stay in Luanda, the athlete will share his international experience and discuss crucial topics for the development of mixed martial arts in Angola.
The fighter coming from South Africa, who is to arrive at 7:30 pm at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, won another medal after "beating" Brazilian Marcel Adur at an event held on September 27th.
In June 2023, Demarte Pena was received by the former minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa.
At the time, he presented the belt he won at the 12th edition of "ARES FIGHTING CHAMPIONS", which took place in Paris, France, and also spoke officially about his career as a professional athlete.
