Luanda - Strikers Gelson Dala (Al-Wakrah of Qatar), Mabululo (Al lttihad of Egypt) and Mbala Nzola (Spezia of Italy) are the highlights of the National Team's squad, aiming at the clash with Ghana, on 23rd and 27th March, a qualifier for the African Football Championship “CAN`2024“, in Côte d'Ivoire.
The first match, which will qualify for the 3rd round, will be played at 4pm, in the city of Kumasi (Ghana), while the 2nd leg at 5 pm, at the 11 de Novembro stadium, in Luanda.
Gelson Dala is the second best scorer in the Qatari league with 10 goals and was decisive in the last two rounds of this qualifying campaign.
The best scorer of Girabola 2016 (23 goals) scored one of the goals in the victory over Central African Republic (CAR) by 2-1 and in the draw with Madagascar (1-1), results that placed Angola in second position of group E, with 4 points.
Mbala Nzola has been evolving in the first division of the Italian league, at the service of Spezia, appearing among the best scorers of the competition, with 12 goals.
The striker scored the first goal in the 2-1 triumph over CAR (2-1), a match played on June 1, 2022.
Mabululo, on the other hand, has been standing out on the Egyptian Al lttihad squad, ranked fourth on the table with 36 pts, in addition to securing second place on the list of scorers, with 9 goals registered.
Among the absences, defender Tó Carneiro and forwards Yano and Zine stand out, who were part of the group chosen in the previous double commitment with CAR and Madagascar.
Coach Pedro Gonçalves justified, on the other hand, the non-integration of central Kinito at the request of the athlete, in addition to Gérémy Bela and Zito Luvumbo due to injury, although the latter has some chance of integration due to the pace of his recovery.
The group will be together on the 19th in the Algerian city of Algiers, where three training sessions are scheduled, before departure for Ghana on the 21st, for the said encounter.
Ghana and Angola, first and second place, respectively, are both with 4points.
