Luanda - Twenty-six athletes, including juveniles, adults, masters and Paralympics make up the National Ju-Jitsu Team, aiming at the World Championship, to be held from October 20 to November 4 this year, in Greece.
These are athletes from the Fight Style, Ne-Waza and one with special needs (Paralympic), according to a note from the Angolan Federation of the sport, sent today (Wednesday) to ANGOP, in Luanda.
On the list for the Fight style: Joaquim Fernandes (-69 kg), Mimona Flávio (-85 kg), Geovane Garcia (-94 kg), Eliza François (-48 kg), Hermenegildo Fontoura (-77 kg), Elizabeth Salvador (-57 kg) and Eufrásio Gonçalves (-62 kg).
In the same specialty, Eliane Mussungo (-63 kg), Domingos Tulumba (-62 kg), Nzunzi Ferreira (-57 kg), Marcelino Kalique (-45 kg), João dos Santos (-69 kg) and Banino Pedro (-77 kg) also participate.
In Ne-Waza are Luziane Torres (-49 kg), Rosângela Teixeira (-49 kg), Yura Ataíde (-62 kg), Joselaide Fragoso (+ 70 kg), Rúben Carvalho (-56 kg), Luís António (-62 kg), Aldo Aníbal (-69 kg), Jorge Pedro (-77 kg), Luís Silvestre (-77 kg) and Luís António (-85 kg).
Oslany Ramalhosa (-63 kg) is the only Paralympic athlete selected for the World Championship.
From the diaspora, the team has the services of Erik Berson (-77 kg) and Heliane Caio (-63kg). Angola is 19th in the world ranking of Ju-Jitsu. DJ/MC/DOJ
