Lubango – The Desportivo Huíla central defender Ludy, aged 19, will represent Sporting de Braga from Portugal next season, where he travelled and will undergo medical tests in the coming days.
The young athlete joined the Desportivo da Huíla squad a year ago, on the recommendation of Portuguese coach Paulo Torres, who manages the Huíla team. It's the club's first transfer abroad. However, the financial implications of the business were not revealed.
In an interview granted to ANGOP, this Wednesday, the Desportivo da Huíla administrative director, Ezequias Domingos, stated that it was a transfer included in the cooperation and experience-sharing agreement signed in May 2023, with António Salvador, the Sporting de Braga chair, who was in Lubando por the porpose.
Also leaving are right-back Karanga, midfielder Dos Santos, and goalkeeper Beny at the end of their contracts, all destined for Wiliete de Benguela FC.
According to the director, central defender Robson, who will play for Desportivo da Luanda-Sul, is on his way out, while striker Tobias and right-back Mimicha, also released, still do not have a clear destination.
Founded in 1997, Desportivo da Huíla reached the 6th position in the last edition of the first division National Championship (Girabola).
