Luanda - Angola finished runners-up of the Africa Futsal Championship after being defeated 1-5 to in the final by hosts Morocco in a final match played at the Salle Palais des sports Pavilion in Rabat.
The Angolan goal was scored by Adérito.
With this unprecedented second place, Angola secured a spot in the 10th edition of the World Cup to take place from September 14 to October 6 in Uzbekistan.
It was Angola's fourth appearance in this competition, after Libya 2008, South Africa (2016) and Morocco (2020). In the latter, it won the bronze medal (third place).
Libya finished in the third place after beating Egypt 4-1 on penalties.
The Libyan team also secured a spot in the 2024 World Cup.
