Luanda - The return of centre back Bastos Quissanga and goalkeeper Ricardo Baptista marked Tuesday's call-up to the Angola national football team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN2025) qualifiers.
After an absence of around three years, the Angolan centre back, who plays for Brazil’s Botafogo, has finally been called up by coach Pedro Gonçalves to join the September 5 and 9 matches against Ghana and Sudan, respectively.
Ricardo Baptista, a Portugal’s Casa Pia goalkeeper, who has been called up a few times but has never played for the Angolan national team, was also included in the list of 25 players called up during a press conference held at Angolan Football Federation (FAF) headquarters.
