Luanda - The Minister of Youth and Sports Palmira Barbosa has said he expects a good performance from the Angola national football team on Tuesday against Burkina Faso in the third and final match of group D of the Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Côte d'Ivoire.
Speaking to journalists during a tribute paid to former footballer Pedro Manuel Torres "Mantorra", the minister said the national team is in excellent condition to achieve a positive result and fight for first place in the group D Burkina Faso.
According to the Minister, despite being in a difficult group, Angolan players are determined to dignify the colors of the national flag.
The governor of Luanda province Manuel Homem on his turn urged residents to hope for a positive result for the national team in the final match of the first phase.
Luanda city has several venues set up with giant screens for citizens to follow all the games.
In the opening game, Angola drew 1-1 with Algeria and beat Mauritania 3-2 in the second match.
