Luanda - The senior women's national handball team, which Saturday won the 16th African title, arrived in the country a few moments ago and is carrying out a procession from the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport through several streets of the city of Luanda.
In an electric trio, the 'pearls' are cherished by passers-by during the route that ends at the Sports Gallery, in the Cidadela stadium.
In that place, actions will be developed in favor of the feat, in addition to, obviously, the usual speeches.
The presence of the population on the streets of the capital city is a way of honoring the African champions, who with talent and determination put Angola back at the top of African handball.
For this achievement, the national team beat Senegal in the final, by 27-18 (13-8), in a competition held in Kinshasa, DRC.
The act was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão, the Vice-Governor of the Province of Luanda, Manuel Gonçalves, the National Secretary of the JMPLA, Justino Capapinha, the Secretary General of the Angolan Women's Organization, Joana Tomás, among other individuals from the various sectors of national life.
