Luanda - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has denied Wydad Casablanca of Morocco's request to change the refereeing team for Saturday's 2 p.m. match against Petro de Luanda.
For the challenge punctuating the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League, the match will be held at the 11 de Novembro Stadium, with just 35,000 spectators - 15,000 short of its total capacity per CAF guidelines.
An Algerian trio has been appointed by CAF for the match.
The head referee is called Mustapha Ghorbal, 36 years old and is a FIFA Referee since 2014.
The referee of the Algerian Association will have as assistants his compatriots Mokrane Gourari (1st assistant) and Abdelhak Etchiali (2nd assistant).
The Burundian Pacifique Ndabihawenimana is the fourth referee.
The VAR will be the Algerian Lahlou Benbraham who has already refereed the match between Wydad x Petro de Luanda that took place in Casablanca during the group stage of the Champions League.
